Our lake also shares state lines with Vermont, with only a 30-minute boat ride to Burlington. Lake Champlain is home to a number of islands, including our closest in proximity, Valcour Island. Valcour was the site of several wars in the American Revolution as well as the war of 1812 and there are still shipwrecks and cannonballs that live on the bottom of our lake. There is also a legendary lake monster named Champy that has made this lake his home for centuries, but don't worry - He's friendly! What To Expect Onboard: The 2012 Sweetwater is a large and comfortable 24' Pontoon. Its roomy layout can accommodate 11 passengers.
