The sites we visit depend on the conditions such as swell, wind and tides, we try to accommodate requests as much as possible! Our ratio is a maximum of 4 divers to one PADI professional, in order to ensure fun and safety. Your dive trip with us includes your dive guide, full equipment rental (excluding dive computer), tanks and weights, water tea and coffee on board of our boat and a small lunch in between the dives. And of course, a great day out of diving with us! Dive sites in Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan Manta rays can be seen all year round and we dive with them often, conditions and swell permitting. To see the elusive mola-mola, the best period is usually between June and October as the water gets colder. Please keep in mind that during those months the water can get as cool as 18 to 23 degrees Celsius, if you are diving with your own equipment we recommend using a 5mm wetsuit and maybe a hood or a rashguard if you are sensitive to the cold! PADI Discover Scuba Diving The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience is not a scuba certification. However, you will learn all the equipment, safety and skills knowledge necessary to enjoy a dive to a maximum depth of 12m under the close supervision of your PADI instructor. Depending on your ease your instructor will stay in physical contact with you or let you evolve freely a few meters away from them. Be prepared to be amazed at your first breaths underwater. You will do a few skills in the pool to learn to react in a relaxed manner to small issues like a little water in the mask and to understand how to use your equipment and how to move underwater. You will then go into the sea and have the life changing experience of becoming a part of the underwater realm. Meet Nemo! PADI Open Water Diver course We recommend covering most of the theory before you join us for your course, to save time during your holiday! Through the PADI E-learning you will read and watch videos and test your knowledge. Once you are here, you will get plenty of practice with the equipment and your instructor during a minimum of 5 sessions in the pool to learn all the basic skills. Then, best of all, you will do 4 dives in the ocean under the supervision of your instructor to get used to swimming around with all the fish! You might just ‘bump into’ a turtle or a manta… People are different and learn differently, so your PADI Open Water course schedule with us in Nusa Penida, Bali has room for flexibility. If you do the theory with us while you are here on the island, you will need to allow an extra day for your course. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course You’ll need to complete 5 ‘adventure’ dives and read the theory chapters related to them. This course is great fun since you choose some of the ‘adventure’ dives you want to do! You’ll learn to navigate naturally and with a compass underwater in the Underwater Navigation dive and how to dive deeper safely by getting more practice planning your dives and using a dive computer in your Deep dive. These dives are mandatory. The rest are up to you to choose from a variety that we can offer here in Nusa Penida. Plenty of exciting choices like perfecting your buoyancy, learn more about fish, learn to dive in currents and more. Something you really enjoy? The adventure dive you chose may credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course. We can for example certify you as a Advanced Diver and a Nitrox Diver with 6 dives in total. Short on time? Why not get a few adventures dives under your belt and complete the course at a later date or become a PADI Adventure Diver. PADI Rescue Diver course In this course you will learn, amongst other things: • to self-rescue and react in a personal emergency, • to recognize and deal with stress in other divers (accident prevention), • emergency management and equipment • to deal with panicked divers • to rescue an unresponsive diver You will cover more theory on pressure related illnesses and injuries and about diving physiology and physics. You can do all the theory ahead of your course. The course is flexible and is all about mastery learning. It is a demanding but very rewarding course and we promise you will laugh a lot along the way! PADI Specialty courses We offer the full range of PADI Specialty courses. During weeks 3 and 4 you will assist on courses, learn how to guide certified divers and put in practice your newly acquired skills. The curriculum part of the course gets completed in this first month. However if you wish to improve your guiding and diving skills and dive some more, we can extend your course for another month where you will be mainly diving! Either guiding under the supervision of our staff members or assisting our instructors on courses.
